About The Event

Objectives:

The overall aim of the course is to improve the leadership and managerial competencies of programme managers involved in planning, strategizing, implementing, and controlling various functions in NRHM.

The specific objectives of the course are:

  • To provide an overview of key concepts and issues involved in leadership and strategic management in NRHM.
  • To enable the participants to undertake self-assessment of their leadership and managerial styles and identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • To discuss various leadership and managerial styles develop skills in strategic leadership, program management, monitoring and evaluation.
  • To develop skills in developing collaborations and partnerships with key stakeholders.

  • Managing quality in health care

Participant's Profile:

This programme is designed for public health professionals who are involved in planning and implementation of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) at national, state, district and block levels. The target participants for this programme would, therefore, include directors, joint directors, state programme managers, state level officials/consultants, district level officials, district programme managers, coordinators and administrators working with government and nongovernmental organizations with substantial managerial responsibilities, interest,and motivation to learn and improve health systems performance.

Training Method:

The programme will use a mix of lecture by resource persons to introduce the lead concepts and encourage active interaction by the participants through classroom discussions, group work and presentations.
