We at Conserveda Outdoor have decided to head towards Kaldurg fort near Palghar 19 August 2017.
Information about Kaldurga:
Type: Hill Fort/ Height: About 1550 Feet above MSL/Grade: Easy/ Region: Palghar/Number of Participants: 25 Enthusiasts
Kaldurg Fort is situated to the east of Palghar, Maharashtra, India, in the Sahyadri mountain range of northern Konkan. Looking at the strategic location of the fort, it stands on the route from coast of Palghar to the city of Javhar. One can say that it was built to keep watch on this ancient trade route and the surrounding region. Top of the fort has a big rectangular rock, Water cistern carved in the rocks. One can get a view of the Arabian Sea and the industrial town of Palghar to the west as well as view of the Surya River to the east and fort like Tandulwadi and Devkhop dam can be seen from top of the Kaldurga.
One can get a chance to see Commelina flower, Spiny back orb Weaver spider, Juveniles of Indian giant wood spider and some Harvester ant’s nest en-route Kaldurga.

We will board in Dahanu Fast Local which starts from Churchgate at 05.24am / Mumbai Central - 05.34 / Dadar - 05.41 / Bandra - 05.46 / Andheri - 05.55 / Borivali - 06.09 / Bhayander - 06.23 / Vasai Road - 6.34 / Virar - 6.46 to Palghar 7.26am
Central Line Participants Can board into Dombivali-Boisar Train which starts at 5.33 am from Dombivali / Kopar - 5.44 / Bhiwandi Road - 05.53 / Kharbao - 06.03 / Kaman Road - 06.12 / juchandra Road - 06.18 / Vasai Road - 06.35 / Nalla Sopara - 06.56 / Virar - 07.03 / Palghar - 7.51am
Breakfast at Palghar (~0.5hrs)
Move to Waghoba Temple by Tumtum/ Rickshaw (~0.5hrs)
Introductions and instructions (~0.5hrs)
Trek to Kaldurg fort (~2.0hrs)
Sightseeing and Lunch atop the fort (~1.0hrs)
Descend to Waghoba temple (~1.5hrs)
Jeep/Rickshaw to Palghar (~0.5hrs)

Windcheaters and pack all essentials in polythene to protect from getting wet in the rain.
Important Note-
Alcohol and smoking will strictly not be permitted on the trek. Anyone found in possession of the same or consuming it will be expelled from the trek.
Wearing full clothes is advisable as it helps in preventing cuts & bruises while walking through the forest & also protects from insect bites.
Loud Music from Portable Bluetooth Speakers/Phones does not fit in with our idea of fun on a Trek.
The leader's decision will be final and binding on all members. No Arguments will be entertained.
Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.
