About The Event

For nearly 60 years social scientists have been studying the factors that cause people to be influenced by the requests and proposals of others, especially in the fields of customer management, employee engagement, leadership and marketing.

In this specially presented masterclass, Dr. Gregory Neidert will explore the psychology of persuasion and will present insights and information into what causes people to change, to act, and to say “Yes”.

CONTENT OVERVIEW

According to Gregory’s research, the chances are that much of our success at work will lie in the ability to influence and persuade others. Whether your leaders are looking to gain more customers, work more collaboratively, bring new products and services to market, or drive change initiatives, they won’t be surprised to learn that their success will very often depend on an ability to get others to say ‘Yes’ to their requests.

But if the ability to get others to say ‘Yes’ is so central to success, what do we know about how the influence process works? By understanding the Science of Persuasion, anyone’s ability to persuade others can be vastly improved. Sometimes successful persuasion requires only small and relatively costless changes to the requests you make. No longer do you have to rely on your own intuition, guesses or instincts when it comes to attempting to persuade others.

The main outcomes from this masterclass will be a clear understanding of:

 - The six universal Principles of Persuasion

 - How to identify situations in human interaction when people are most likely to say “Yes” to your requests

 - The core influence skills behind successful negotiation and communication

 - How to apply the Principles to your specific role so that you become optimally persuasive
