Indian IT industry is currently facing many challenges, including increases protectionism in major markets across the world, restrictive visa regulations, automation and resulting new business models, all contributing in some ways to job losses.
‘HR personnel who handle employee terminations as well as HR managers supervising such personnel, need to understand labour laws applicable to employee terminations under various circumstances. This will help use of fair and legal means, protect employee interests and also safeguard company and HR personnel. Compliance with the law will also help reduce impact on employment generation in the industry.
