About The Event

The session is taught by KV himself who is a master in 15+ social/partner dance styles like Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Zouk, Lindyhop(east coast swing dance), Blues dancing, Contact Improvisation, Reggae, West coast swing dance, Jive, Cha-cha, Fusion dancing, Tango, Kizomba, Forro and so many more to name.

KV has danced continuously for last 5 years in the US, the UK and India. He learned all these dance forms while he lived all these years in the US. He has traveled to more than 70+ dance exchanges, 90+ dance scenes in the US and the UK and must have danced with over 7000 people in last 5 years in these two countries.

This is an opportunity to learn directly from him.

So this is the 1st beginner session ever for this group for Argentine Tango!  If you have never danced before, or never done Argentine Tango before, this is the perfect time for you to join us!

We have it planned in a grand way to we can learn a lot in one day!

Session 1 tentative Plan [December 6 - Sunday 11.00 am to 6.00 pm]

12.00 noon to 1:30 pm - THE WALK, THE CROSS, Single Axis turns
1:30 PM to 2:30 PM - LUNCH BREAK
2:30 PM to 4:00 PM Forward and backward Ocho
4:00 to 4:45 pm The Sandwich, Media Luna
4.00 pm - 4.50 pm Sacada
4:50 pm - 5.00 pm Short refreshment BREAK
5.00 pm - 5:30 pm Milonga
5:30 pm - 6.00 pm Practica (Social dance practice)

Session 2 tentative plan [December 13 - Sunday 11:00 am to 6.00 pm]

11:00 am to 12:00 noon - Revision of Session 1
12:00 noon to 1:00 pm - Directional turns
1:00 pm to 2:00 pm - Lunch break
2:00 pm to 3:00 pm - Front Boleo/Castigada
3:00 pm to 4:00 pm - Leg wrap, Drag, Planeos
4:00 pm to 5:00 pm - Hook/Gancho
5:00 pm to 6:00 pm - Practica (Social dance practice)


We will always rotate partners during the workshop and the dance, so everyone has an opportunity to dance with others.

Since Tango is quite an engaging and demanding dance form to learn, it is required that the crash course be split up in 2 sessions so be able to learn quite a few things

It is not possible to join for session 2 without attending session 1. Hence registration for session 1 and session 2 is combined. However, some may choose to attend only session 1, but there are only 4 tickets for it and is more expensive than attending both sessions.

Due to the kind of dance form tango is, the session is limited to 24 attendees only. Registrations will be closed once 24 attendees register.

Contribution varies from Rs. 1000 per person for 12 hours of session 1 and 2 to Rs. 2000 per person for 12 hours.

Attendance for only Session 1 is set to Rs. 1400 per person.

Cash at the door will be Rs. 2500 per person. Hence it is recommended to pay online to save money. 

If you are looking to pay me cash in hand before the event date, it will be Rs. 1700 anytime before the online price goes above it.


1) What to wear?
Ans: Comfortable clothing. Do not wear extremely tight or extremely loose clothing.

2) Do I need to bring separate shoes for dancing?
Ans: As a general rule of thumb, dancers all over the world carry a separate pair of dance shoes which they wear on the dance floor. For this session, guys avoid wearing dance shoes that have high heels or are very sticky (rubber soles) on the dance floor. Flat bottomed or tiny heels work fine. Soles should be slick(smooth). Please do not wear long or pointed shoes. Shoes may have rounded or square fronts. Girls may wear shoes/wedges/sandals with heels as required for Tango. Also, they need to have smooth soles for easy spins on the floor. You do not need to buy new shoes for the session, just bring the best you can. But as an etiquette do not use outdoor shoes on the dance floor(this avoids rain and dirt on the dance floor and accidental slips and falls)

After your registration you will receive a pdf copy of your ticket in your email. Please bring a softcopy of this ticket on your smartphone or a printout to the venue along with your id proof.

3) What to bring?
Ans: Please bring at least 2 pairs of t-shirts or tops/dresses to change if you get sweaty during the session. Bring 2 -3 litres of water with you to drink. There are food joints close to the venue to arrange for lunch, but you may plan to bring something along if you wish to.
