Masters Athletics Federation of India (MAFI) is a registered body and official speaker for the Master Athletes participation in all recognized meets throughout the world. It holds affiliations from World Masters Athletics and Asian Masters Athletics.
MAFI has been conducting National Masters Athletics Championships for the last 39 years, initially under the name of Veterans Athletics which is now changed to Masters Athletics. The championship caters to 29 states and 2 union territories, covering around 5000 athletes of both Men and Women from the age of 35 plus onwards. The selected athletes will be representing our country in various Internationals Masters Athletics Championships including Asian Masters Athletics Championship and the Worlds Masters Athletics Championship.
The 40th National Masters Athletics Championships will be conducted by Masters Athletics Association of Andhra Pradesh and is scheduled to be held at Acharya Nagarjuna University Stadium, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, from 05th to 10th February 2019.
The Office bearers of both the Asian and the World Masters Association will be joining to commemorate the above championship with an aim to bring fitness awareness among people who are above 35 years of age.
