The relentless enthusiasm to create something larger than life made, Mr. Madan Mohan, the originator of the event, and a notable Vintage Car connoisseur take a recess, in the year 2019 to appraise and conceive the most impressive, and the grandest Asian Concours show that would go live in February 2020.
Mr. Madan Mohan is also the Vice-president of HMCI. His passion for vintage cars and his vision to take India forward on the global Heritage Motoring Map has kept him motivated, throughout this journey, of creating a world-class Concours d’Elegance. The rally is his way of spreading awareness about the beauty and impact of Heritage Motoring.
Every year, the rally gets bigger and better, and without a doubt, this one will be the biggest so far. All plans are in place to make this rally a super grand event, with lots of royal guests, grand sponsors, gala musical event, and much more.
Since the historic day of 2011 that marked the commencement of an era of Heritage Motoring in India, each year, the ’21 Gun Salute Heritage & Cultural Trust’ has been successfully organizing the 21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally & Concours d’Elegance.
The Ninth Edition of the show will offer not only a two-day extravaganza on the 15th and 16th February 2020, but also an opportunity to experience the best of vintage & classic marques amidst historic surroundings.
This year, the grand event will acknowledge participants from different parts of the world to witness the motoring festivity. The 125 magnificent – handpicked Indian vintage & classic cars that would include Maharaja cars, 15 International cars from the U.K., U.S.A., Germany, France, and Italy, and 25 bikes from all over the world, would grace the show field. The rally will be flagged-off from the historic India Gate on the first day of the event and cruising through Lutyens’ Delhi, the cars and bikes will then gather at Karma Lakelands Golf Course for judging and public viewing.
The 9th edition of the ’21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally & Concours d’Elegance’, is scheduled to happen on the pleasant mid-February weekend (15th & 16th February), at the fanciful Karma Lakelands Golf Course, Gurugram. The 21 Gun Salute Concours d’Elegance is one of the most tasteful and prestigious motoring events in Asia. The now, biennial Concours d’ Elegance welcomes handpicked-rare historic cars to the show-field. The 21 Gun Salute Concours d’Elegance follows international ICJAG standards.
A grand flag-off from the India Gate and a drive through the roads of the capital heading to the Karma Lakelands will make this two-day event, a fun, festive, and revolutionary extravaganza.
The immense support from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and several National & International State Tourism Boards have helped us in representing the authentic picture of the vast cultural diversity of the country while promoting motoring tourism in India.
The event aims at promoting vintage and classic motoring in India while offering our international guests an opportunity to see and experience, one of the oldest civilizations in the world.
