Light and sound have both very interesting characteristics. They are not just electromagnetic radiation or waves or form of energy. These unique characteristics are used developing different applications.

In this module you will build some of these applications and explore their unique characteristics. You will conduct following exploration and tinkering activities:

1. Visualizing Sound waves
2. Measuring sound absorbance by varied materials
3. Exploring reflection of sound waves
4. Build a stethoscope
5. Solar Panel Projects (Car, compare lens & mirror)
6. Find the wavelength of different lights
7. Study Reflection/Refraction/Diffraction/ Interference
8. Bending of light
9. Building a Periscope
10. Building a Spectroscope
11. Defects of vision
12. Laser Microscope
13. Coloured shadows / Creating different colours by combination of primary coloured lights
14. Reflection Challenge

In this module, you would create various gadgets which have variety of applications in our daily life. You would have also explored certain unique characteristics of sound and light and how they are creatively used in high tech industry and also explored how light, one of the key source for sustaining human life impacts living as well as non-living world. Certainly, you would like to thank Sun far more than you have done till now!
