Basic forces of nature - gravitational, electric, magnetic move the things around us.

In this module, let’s explore and understand various phenomena of non-contact forces which are prime movers in various machines we use on everyday basis - be it a fan, aeroplane or magnetic levitation train. You will do the following exploration, experimentation and tinkering activities:

1. Building Maglev train
2. Making DC Motors*
3. Making wind Turbines*
4. Building Gauss rifle
5. Measuring acceleration due to gravity
6. Wind tunnel experiment
7. Eddy current brakes/toys
8. Making Electric buzzer
9. Wireless electricity*
10. Measuring surface tension of water  
11. Spare-Change Circus: Walking Coins on a (Vertical!) 'High Wire'  
12. Making Simple Harmonic Pendulum (New)

In this program, you will learn basics of electromagnetic field and how it is applied, how to measure gravitational acceleration using photogate, visualization of forces, functioning of gyroscope and most importantly have fun learning and tinkering projects!

Duration: 6 days, 4 hours/day
