About Location:

Situated in the serene and picturesque Western Ghats, Chikmagalur is every nature lover's paradise.

It's covered by hills, lakes and stretches of estates with coffee plantations.

Whether you are a trekker, photographer, wildlife watcher, stargazer, an avid traveller or just someone seeing places and ticking them off your list, you have to visit this place once at least or in the case of Bengalurians, once every monsoon at least.

This place offers several natural treasures, amazing landscapes and of course, the quintessential coffee.

Chikmagalur is also home to Chandradrona Parvatha Shreni (Chandradrona Mountain Range) which harbours the highest peak in Karnataka, and although the other peaks aren’t as tall, they are just as scenic.

About Homestay:

We will be staying in a homestay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, having scrumptious local cuisine and living close to nature. And if the night sky is clear, we will watch the starry skies that are untouched by artificial lights and pollution.

We’ll also visit some of the most picturesque offbeat destinations nearby where you can photograph the nature in all its grandeur, leisurely.

• Sturdy and waterproof backpack (It will be advised that you pack light)
• Water bottles (at least 2 liters of water)
• Fresh clothes for two days
• Extra set of clothes
• Sunscreen and sunglasses
• Cap/hat
• Toiletries (Shampoo, towel, toothpaste, tissue paper, etc.)

The tour is designed to help participants learn the nuances of making beautiful photographs of people and their way of living. It’s as much about understanding the way of life as it is about photography. Note that the participants are not required to be experts in photography. Beginners as well as serious photographers benefit through our personalized attention to photography sessions and on field assistance. Non photographers and mobile photography enthusiasts interested in exploring the region are welcome, too.

I am not a keen photographer, but I want to join this tour with your group. Can I still join?

Yes. We visit many beautiful places in the region, and having a good time during the trip is as much on the agenda as photography is. However, non-photographers should note that our itineraries are designed keeping photography in mind. We are generally slower than typical travel itineraries and don’t make a long sightseeing list.

Advisory

• Avoid uncomfortable clothing during the activities (like sarees, etc.)
• Carrying jewellery or other valuables is not advisable
• No smoking and consumption of alcohol before or during the activity
• Plastics (like chocolate wrappers, water bottles, beverages bottle, poly-ethane covers, etc., should be carried back to Urban jungle)

• 100% Advance once participation in the tour is confirmed.

Cancellation Policy

• • 85% refund, 45 days before the tour start date
• • 50% refund, Between 45 days and 30 days.
• • 10% refund, with in 30 days and 25 days.
• • No Refund if cancelled less than 25 days.

Refund Policy

• The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days

Confirmation Policy

• The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking
• In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.
• Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking and a full refund will be processed.
