This workshop-cum-course will provide you practical tips on how to implement evidence-based medical nutrition therapy (MNT) in various types of diabetes patients. There will be case-scenario based discussions on tailoring MNT in different clinical situations.
You will also learn the principles behind meal planning for individuals with diabetes. The course will give you knowledge on how to create beneficial nutritional interventions by combining evidence-based recommendations and considering the individual’s cultural and ethnic background, and personal preferences.

Haritha Shyam is the Chief Clinical Nutritionist at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad and has been practicing clinical nutrition for 21-years. She has an outstanding experience in teaching nutrition at various institutions and courses including Apollo School of Nursing, PG diploma in Preventive and Promotive Health Care (from 2000-2005), Kasturba Gandhi College, St Francis College, Koti women’s college, Madina Institute of Higher learning, and Shadan college of PG studies.
Dr. Sunitha Premalatha
Chief Dietitian, Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad
Dr. Sunitha Premalatha is the Chief Dietitian at Yashoda hospital, Secunderabad and also a consultant nutritionist at Aurobindo Pharma. Dr. Sunitha Premalatha holds a master’s degree in Food Service Management and Dietetics, and did her PhD in the subject of diet, lifestyle and other health indicators in the etiology of common cancers in Hyderabad.
