WIW is a joint initiative of TalentSprint and The Hindu to bridge the gap between the Industry and soon-to-be professionals. This monthly event provides the necessary exposure for fresh graduates on what career opportunity lies ahead for them in the IT Industry.
The format of the event is that the Industry captains address fresh graduates on what the industry expects from their new recruits, how the industry is changing and what are the new trends emerging. Further, they will also cover upcoming career opportunities, both with Indian and Global perspective.
The distinguished speakers at this event not only have outstanding industry perspective, but also understand the ground realities in Indian colleges and universities. WIW is being done for the benefit of the graduates and it is a free event.
However, one is required to register in advance as the seats are limited. Only expectation from the registrant for this event is to attend the event on time and get the most value through the interaction with the industry stalwarts.
Speakers Profile :
A N Rao, Senior Vice President & Global Head: Cognizant Academy heads the L&D function at Cognizant. His team is responsible for the envisioning and execution of the learning strategies , partnerships and technologies that help over 250,000 associates through their journey of learning from their last year in the university to the time they grow into leadership roles at Cognizant covering a broad range of themes in the technical, functional and domain streams. His team is at the centre of enabling the firm’s Digital Transformation by creating and curating innovative, relevant, immersive content that aims to provide their businesses a ‘manufacturer’s warranty’ of performance on the job.
Prior to his current role as the head of Cognizant Academy, AN played diverse leadership roles globally in the areas of Manufacturing , IT, Delivery Excellence and IT Services in a career spanning 33 years in global MNCs and large Indian Corporations .
He passionately believes that the role of a leader is to create an environment that is demanding and caring to enable teams live their full potential. Building successful leadership teams and nurturing nascent businesses and functions to scale with grace has been the consistent thread of his career.
AN is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from a premier B School. He is married to Vimala for over 30 years and they have two boys – one a big data consultant and the other a Chef.
