About The Event

THE STORMBRINGER TEAM pulled off STORMFEST one of the heaviest and most brutal metal gigs to occur in the last couple of years on 21st september 2013.

Here's STORMFEST 2 to take that a notch up by sticking to the talent within the city limits yet keeping the same amount of brutal energy witnessed at the debut edition of this series.

Noiseware -

Formed in mid 2009, barely a show old, the band released their first single, ‘G-String’, which made rounds atop the Soundclick international metal charts. But the first real taste of success came just three months in, when the band beat some of the top rock and metal acts of the country at Mood Indigo Livewire Festival 2009, to support progressive giants, Porcupine Tree. In 2010 they opened for Tesseract and Meshuggah. In June 2011, they released their debut EP, “Wake up and Soar” at the Rolling Stone Metal Awards 2011 Ceremony. In October 2011, The band broke into the international realm, as “Need For Sleep” appeared in UK’s highest selling metal magazine – Metal Hammer’s “Global Metal Vol 3” Compilation.

DARK HELM- (Metal / Progressive Deathcore)

The sound of Dark Helm is the musicalisation of the journey of an ancient warrior through the sands of Persia and his quest to defend his throne, by bending time and cheating death. Dark Helm is Shubhrayu - Bass, Arjun - Drums, Aniketh - Keyboards, Clinton - Guitars, Mohanish - Guitars, Raveesh - Vocals. They recently wowed the audience in Dubai with their brutal and tight performance and soon after returned to do the same at Demolition in Pune. “This is the BEST band in India when it comes to fusing western influences with Indian Roots. Mind you I mentioned the BEST”, if this review from the Metal India Magazine is anything to go by place them on the same line-up as Noiseware and only imagine the chaos that will unfold.

CONSECRATION - (Extreme / Heavy Metal)

Formed in October 2011 . Consecration try to describe the music mostly as just metal but bring in some influences from jazz and blues into the melodies. One of Pune's unique acts that play a blend of modern metal styles with the sensibilities of progressive masterminds like Dream Theater. Crushing, yet soulful, they are sure to get your fists up high as you mosh and airguitar to their music. Their aim is to keep playing live and possibly increase their fanbase but also at the same time just have a stubborn attitude and keep doing this till the fans or they themselves get tired because this is what they love. They have a huge surprise in store for their fans so besure not to miss this one!!!

ADAMANTIUM (Metal-core/Post-Hardcore)

_AdaManTiuM_ aka ‘AMTM’ is a Metal-core/Post-Hardcore band from Pune, formed in September 2008. They will return to The Stormfest for the second time by popular demand. The name of the band is inspired by the cult video game, Final Fantasy, and signifies the band’s indestructible love for Metal. Their influences are Parkway Drive, Devil Wears Prada, Miss May I, Bring Me The Horizon, Rashamba, As I lay Dying, Asking Alexandria

BLEEDING EDGE (Groove/Thrash Metal)

Bleeding Edge iss 4 piece groove / metal band from Pune. Also returning for the second time at The Stormfest by popular demand from their 60+ fans that attended the earlier, they have a new sound that even we are eager to hear. After starting up in 2010, since then they have released one single. Their sound is basically an amalgamation thrash and groove but they still try to pour in ideas from all other music they listen to. Overall Bleeding Edge is a smooth blend of fast yet groovy riffs, blazing solos, aggressive vocals and chest thumping drums and bass.

ANARCHY (Thrash Metal)

Anarchy has been playing since sept 2013 and recently had their debut gig at December Demolition,Wakad. Just the day before they competed with other popular metal acts of Pune at V Indiafest and were runners up. These guys had a very impressive debuts as per any standards, their set at Demolition had a mosh pit on all of their songs and the band's facebook page had over 300 likes within 48hrs of going live. This is one band to watch out for once they get set in the scene.
