The great Rudra Veena exponent, Ustad Asad Ali Khan passed away in 2011, he was one of the last great masters of this incredible instrument. A somewhat nostalgic film, evoking the past and the era of court musicians, whose lives seem to have been simpler than those of musicians today. Ustad Asad Ali Khan explains the intricacies of the instrument and the difficulties involved in playing it. He speaks of his father and the arduous process of learning to play the rudra veena.
