Kondana Caves situated in Karjat offers the ancient lifestyle of Buddhist followers. Ancient rock-cut caves, Kondana Caves are very famous Buddhist caves. These caves enclose sculptures, vihara, cahitya and stupa. Sculptures and stupas are specimens of the ancient period Buddhist architecture. There was a natural disaster in the form of an earth quake in early 1900 by which many stupas, front entrance and floor of the caves were damaged. These ancient caves attract lots of tourists and Buddhist devotees all through the year. Kondana Caves is around 15 KM from Karjat.

We will be starting with the Slow Train from CST to Karjat. Missing the train means missing the trek, So try to be on time
People may board the same train from the station of their convenience and meet us in the train directly. (Get into second coach from CST end).
Please buy a return ticket for yourself. Train timming for your reference.
Alight at Karjat railway station.
Move to Base Village by disel Rickshaw / ST bus
Reach Base Village by 8.30am
Breakfast @ Base Village and then Start our trek
Reach Kondane Caves in 1 Hour
Explore the Cave and Enjoy the Waterfall
Post Lunch We will start Descending
Reach Base Village by 16:00
Reach Karjat Station by 18:00
The cost for the trek is Rs 350.00 per person
Travelling from Karjat to Karjat,Breakfast and Evening tea.
Mineral water/lime water/ purchased for personal consumption. Food/Tea purchase while travelling to site and back. Any medical / Emergency evacuations if required. Travel cost from Mumbai to Karjat and back. Travel from Pune to Karjat and back.
We would be returning to Mumbai by 20:00 hrs approx depending on rains.
Participation contribution is NON refundable and NOT transferable.
We shall travel together as a group. This is a group activity. **** Please carry one time meal/ lunch for this trek ***

Wear a good trekking shoes, extra pair of flotters.
A haversack to put in all the things to be carried, so that one has ones hands free while trekking.
Pleases do not carry sling bags or Jholas. Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.
Rains are expected, so pack yr bags accordingly to save them from getting wet. Double pack your valuables in plastic bags.

Disclosures on medical conditions
It is mandatory that you visit your personal physician before enrolling for the trip if you suffer from any illness of any kind and disclose the same and your medical history to the organizers of the trip so that best possible arrangements can be carried out post approval. As organizers of the trip, we will be responsible for providing basic first aid throughout the trip. In case of unexpected mishaps or accidents, we will arrange for the injured patron to be taken to the nearest medical hospital wherever possible. The medical expenses will have to be borne by the patrons themselves. The cost mentioned above is for Indian citizens ONLY payable in Indian Rupees.
