Monsoon Madness 200 km

Pune-Mulshi-Tamhini Return 

PLEASE NOTE - MTBs AND HYBRIDs ARE ADVISED! 
This route is a Monsoon special, taking the road from Pune via Paud, along Mulshi Lake on rolling terrain, right up to the escarpment. There one descends the Tamhini Ghat into the Konkan, heading on Mangaon Rd till Nizampur. Turning around one has to climb the ghat back up, and roll along Mulshi lake back to Pune. This route is conducted in the Monsoon and the road conditions are very bad. Flooding on the road is expected, making visibility of Potholes impossible. One can also expect fog close to the Tamhini descent. It is advised to attempt this BRM on MTB or Hybrid only. Please note that in addition to the severe conditions there is a lot of climbing involved. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE POWERFUL HEADLIGHTS.

However.... This one is for the joy of the route, which is beautiful in this season, join in even if you don't think you will finish in time. Historically it has only been completed by 4 out of 17 participants in 2013!
