About The Event

International Craft Day 2017, New Delhi has been marked on 15th October 2017, last year it was introduced in the world for the first time and received overwhelming response from Craft Lovers, Craft Companies, Design Institutions and general public at large. This year's International Craft Day (ICD) would be much bigger on scale, and the ENTRY to the venue is by prior registrations only. Those who wish to visit world's most sought after event may plan in advance to avoid last minute rush. Last date to register for International Craft Day is 30th September.

Details of ICD'16: Crafts for long have been perceived as decorative objects and the reason is “Good stories untold”. The essence of which has not been able to effectively communicated with the changing world. The “International Craft day 2016” captured people’s imagination to link and associate with rare Crafts through various planned activities. It also provided an opportunity to like-minded people to come, share learn and give back to the society, and for others it was a perfect platform to learn and appreciate these craft forms.

Craft Village invited Craft enthusiasts, Designers, Creative Community, Crafters, Students and Faculty members, Creative Organisations, Craft Companies; NGO's to be part of "International Craft Day" to celebrate these rare and exclusive crafts. The Day also marks a significance as there was no dedicated day for "International Crafts". The day long activities included Kalamkari Craft Workshop, and tribal/folk exhibition by World renowned Bhajju Shyam, Padmashri Guruppa Chetty, Padmashri Srilal Joshi & Kalyan Joshi, Erroll Pires Nelson, Manisha Jha and other legendary and celebrated Crafts persons from across the world. Exhibition-cum sale by leading Craftprenuers, Brands & leading labels. More than 500 invitees/registered candidates attended the event with leading fashion schools such as NID, NIFT, Pearl etc. attending the various activities and knowledge seminars by international designers and experts.
