About The Event

Android, a magic word, is the invincible mantra in industry at the moment. Android is the future of mobile applications, and is expected to pull majority of users towards smart phones from conventional PC's, Palmtops and Laptops. More than 500,000 new Android devices are being activated daily, and the number is growing at 4.4 percent week over week.

The aim of this session is to give an overview on Android and its uses. Towards the end of the series you will be equipped with foundational knowledge to develop an Android application yourself.

Key topics: Introduction, Understanding Manifest, UID, Dealing with Locations, using internet, launching the application.

Workshop Facilitator : S.Subramaniam, an Electronics & Communications Engineering graduate from University of Madras (Chennai), has 14 years experience in Information Technology and holds ITIL and CISSP certification. He started his career in Hexaware and currently a freelance trainer in Java, Android, ITIL and IT Security.
