The trek to the base camp of the most notorious mountain called Annapurna will be really scenic. In this trek we will get to see three mountain peaks, which more than 8000 meters, as well as some in the 6000 to 7000 meters range. We will pass through many high altitudes Tibetan villages and cross through the rhododendron forests, glacial marines in high altitude.

Overview:-

Annapurna Base Camp Trek (ABC Trek) is one of the several beautiful treks in the Annapurna zone. You can see three mountains, who feature in the list of Top 10 Highest peaks in the world, such as Dhaulagiri I (8,167m / 7th highest), Manaslu (8,156m / 8th highest) and Annapurna (8,091m / 10th highest). The trekking trail goes through the spectacular Himalayan villages with the view of beautiful terraced farms.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is of moderate difficulty level. Our trek starts from Pokhara, the lake city of Nepal and the gateway for Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) as well as Dhaulagiri ranges treks. On the first day, we will drive for 45 km / 1.5 hours to a village called Nayapul (1, 011 meters) and commence our trek to Thikedunga (1, 552 meters). The complete trek we will cover many destinations such as Ghorepani (2,800 meters), Pun Hill (3,200 meters), Tadapani (2,647 meters), Chhomroong (2,100 meters), Dovan (2,400 meters), Deurali (3,300 meters), Mount Machhapuchchhre Base Camp (3,700 meters), Annapurna Base Camp(4,200m), Bamboo(2,335 meters) and Jhinu Danda (1,600 meters).

Brief Itinerary:-

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Day 2: Drive to Pokhara

Day 3: Drive to Nayapul (1001 metres) and trek to Thikedunga (1552 metres 4-5hrs)

Day 4:Thikedunga to Ghorepani (2800 metres, 6-7hrs)

Day 5: Ghorepani to Pun Hill (3200 metres / 1hour) and trek to Tadapani (2647metres/ 5 hrs)

Day 6: Tadapani to Chhomrong (2177 metres /5-6 hrs)

Day 7: Chhomrong to Dovan (2600 metres / 5-6 hrs)

Day 8: Dovan to Deurali (3300 metres / 5-6 hrs)

Day 9: Deurali to trek to Annapurna base camp (4200 metres /5-6hrs)

Day 10: Annapurna base camp to Bamboo (6-7 hrs)

Day 11: Bamboo to Jinu Danda (1760 metres/5-6 hrs)

Day 12: Jinu Danda to Nayapul (6hrs)

Day 13: Drive at Kathmandu

Day 14: Departure

Detailed Itinerary:-

DAY 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Upon arrival our representative we will take you to the hotel and issue your first permit. In the evening you can visit the Thamel Street, it is a very popular place. It has lot of restaurants, casinos and plenty of shops to buy trekking gears and accessories.

Day 2: Drive to Pokhara

Upon arrival our representative we will take you to the hotel and issue your first permit. In the evening you can visit the Thamel Street, it is a very popular place. It has lot of restaurants, casinos and plenty of shops to buy trekking gears and accessories.

Day 3: Drive to Nayapul (1001 metres) and trek to Thikedunga (1552 metres 4-5 hrs)

Today we will reach Nayapul by car and the total drive time will be 1.5 hours on a beautiful road. After arrive at Nayapul we will start our trek and after 4 or 5 hours of trek we will reach Thikedunga village. Cis a beautiful mountain village and has some basic accommodation to rest.

Day 4:Thikedunga to Ghorepani (2800 metres, 6-7hrs)

We will have our breakfast early and start the trek to Ulleri village (2, 070 meters). The trail to Ulleri is steep and need to climb several hundred steps. Once you cross Ulleri the trail is moderate and on our way, we will cross Magar of Banthanti village. The views from the trail are spectacular, as we can see many mountain peaks. We will cross several small streams and take an up-hill hike to Nangethanti. After Nangethanti we will trek to Ghorepani. At Ghorepani, we will get some spectacular views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna 1 and some other mountains.

Day 5: Ghorepani to Pun Hill (3200 metres / 1hour) and trek to Tadapani (2647 metres/ 5 hrs)

Today early morning we will hike to Pun Hill for its magnificent views. Pun Hill is a famous view point for high mountain peaks in Annapurna and Dhaulagiri regions. One can see magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Tukuche, Manaslu, Machhapuchchhre (Fishtail), and so many others mountain peaks from Pun Hill. After the Pun Hill hike we will return to Ghorepani and begin our trek to Tadapani through rhododendron forest. We will cross Deurali and stop over for lunch at Banthanti. After the lunch, we will continue our trek to Tadapani. We will get some great views of Annapurna ranges such as the Annapurna South, Huinchuli and Machhapuchhre.

Day 6: Tadapani to Chhomrong (2177 metres /5-6 hrs)

Today we will start a downhill trek to the valley and reach a stream and cross it by a suspension bridge over it. Then we will go for an up-hill trek amidst spectacular terraced fields and green mountains to the village Gurjung. We will have our lunch at Gurjung. After the lunch we will get one more up-hill trek and a downhill to reach Chhomrong village. Chhomrong is a large Nepali mountain village located in Annapurna range with spectacular views.

Day 7: Chhomrong to Dovan (2600 metres / 5-6 hrs)

Today we will trek down to Chhomrong Khola (River) and cross it on a suspension bridge. After that we will take an up-hill trek through the forest and cross a small settlement on the way. We will continue on the same trail up to Sinuwa. After this point, we will get another up-hill trek and cross a small forest. You will spot many small monkeys in this forest. We will then get down through steps to Bamboo and after a short walk we will reach our destination Dovan.

Day 8: Dovan to Deurali (3300 metres / 5-6 hrs)

We will start today’s trek through bamboo forests and then our journey goes amidst valleys, rivers, and typical Himalayan nature. Today will get to experience the high altitude zone. Deurali is situated at the foothill of Modi Himal and Mount Machhapuchhre.

Day 9: Deurali to trek to Annapurna base camp (4200 metres /5-6hrs)

Today we will start early and we will cross Machhapuchhre Base Camp and then reach Annapurna Base Camp.
After Deurali we will trek on a river bed and then follow a steep trail. The trail to Machhapuchhre base camp is strenuous and is avalanche prone, so we will try to cross this area as quickly as possible. From Machhapuchhre base camp we can see a great view of mount Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna. The path will become wider after Machhapuchhre base camp and the trek will be pleasant up to Annapurna Base Camp. Once you reach at the Base Camp of the most notorious mountain in this planet, you can see a great sight of the nature. There are spectacular views of some of the world’s highest peaks such as Annapurna I 8, 091 meters, Annapurna South 7, 219 meters, Machhapuchhre (Mount Fishtail) 6, 997meters and several other gigantic peaks.

Day 10: Annapurna base camp to Bamboo (6-7 hrs)

Today we will wake up early and enjoy a spectacular sunrise in Annapurna. After breakfast we will trek back to Bamboo. Today’s trek is mostly downhill, so be little careful on the trail as it might be slippery.

Day 11: Bamboo to Jinu Danda (1760 metres/5-6 hrs)

We will continue our trek on the same trail what we took to hike Chhomrong. We can see Chhomrong from the top of the trail. The trail will be downhill with many steps to The Chhomrong River. After this the trail goes through rice fields and meets the main trail. We need to climb many stone steps before reaching Jhinu Danda. After reaching Jhinu Danda you may consider to visit nearby hot spring and relax yourself.

Day 12: Jinu Danda to Nayapul (6hrs)

Today we will trek back to Nayapul. We will get the Modi River for most of the time in this trail. The trail goes through terrace fields and forests. After reaching Sauli Bazaar the trail becomes flat up to Nayapul. After reaching Nayapul we will drive back to Pokhara and relax in our hotel.

Day 13: Drive at Kathmandu

We will back to Kathmandu on the same beautiful route. After reaching Kathmandu you can rest in the hotel or roam around the city.

Day 14: Departure

Checkout the hotel by 12 PM and we will drop you at Kathmandu International Airport.
