If you are adventourous person or a fitness freak or even an amatuare wanting learn more about trekking and mountain hiking we have the best training session arranged for you. 

 

Date : April 9th 2016

 

Venue : Decathlon sarjapura

 

Time : 9 am till 12 noon.

Event Photography : People with professional photography gear and skill set will be available to cover the event.
 
Charges for the Event  :  300 INR Per Participant. 
 
Discount  for the Event :  100 INR discount Per Participant (Applicable for the first 6 events conducted at Decathlon premises)
 
Participant : Anyone above 12 Years or Below 12 Years with parental guidance.

Program Structure: 
 
1.What is trekking?
Define and explain trekking as an outdoor adventure sport. 
 
2.Why should you do trekking?
Develop an outlook about trekking as one of the most eco-friendly mode of travel. Share 10 Points on 'why should you trek?'
 
3.How to prepare for a trek?
Basic physical and mental fitness and endurance building is required to participate in this sport. 
 
4.What to pack?
Exposure to different gears involved in trekking depending on the climatic conditions. Demonstration of Quechua Shoes, Sleeping Bags, Tents and various other products and why and when should you choose them.Here we can do a walkthrough of Quechua product section in Decathlon.
 
5.How to pack?
ABCD of backpack packing.
 
6.Camping etiquette
Demonstration of Tent pitching.
 
7.Risk & Safety
Discussion of risks involved in different terrains and how to take precautions accordingly. Knowledge of basic medicines.
 
8.Outdoor ethics
Exposure to the principles of 'Leave No Trace' and developing a better interaction with nature and local culture.
 
9.Where to trek?
 
A photographic slideshow of different terrains to trek. Share the itineraries of 6 upcoming trekking events in association with Decathlon.Share benefits that Decathlon is providing to the participants for all the upcoming events.
