Summer Kids Camp At Ahilya Primary School

  • Yoga - Learn to meditate and improve your concentration. Power your mind and body with Asanas and Pranayam. - All Days
  • Dictionary - Improve your vocabulary, learn new words and build your dictionary. - All Days
  • Story telling - Interesting stories come alive with our famous story teller - Deepa Kiran. - 25th April
  • Story Writing - Make your own story book. Drawings and content all made by you. - 26th & 27th April
  • Craft - Make use of waste. Don't Trash! A workshop to reuse waste and make the best from waste. -28th April
  • Paper Art - Learn how to fold traditional and modern Origami models with Paper Quilling. - 29th April
  • Games - Games will be played based on themes decided by the children - 30th April
  • Puppetry - Stories conveyed by puppets also learn to make paper puppets with renowned puppeteer - Ratnamala Nori - 2nd May

We are having the famous puppeteer Ratnmala Nori, artist Shilpa Shah and storyteller Deepa Kiran with us to conduct individual sessions on specified dates.

This camp is conducted by professionals made available at low cost for all children aged 6 to 12.

Light refreshments will be provided all days. Register before 20th April 2016.

 About the Trainers

Smt. Ratnamala Nori holds a B.A.(fine arts),  M.A. in Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archeology, AMI  Diploma in Montessori Training and a P.G. Diploma in Mass Communication & Journalism. She is the founder, director of The Nori Art & Puppetry Centre, (NAPC), a Hyderabad-based NGO, which believes in reaching out through Art & Puppetry and making a difference in the lives of people in various fields.  

Deepa Kiran - is the founder of Story Arts India. She is a storyteller, education consultant, writer  and voice-over artist. She weaves in music and movement into her telling and holds training programs for teachers on employing storytelling in the language classroom.

 

Shilpa Shah - is an art / craft teacher in some of the reputed schools of Hyderabad (DPS, Gitanjali etc). Making crafts from waste and how to reuse waste materials to put to effective use is what she practices and teaches.
