About The Event

Kalu Waterfall 1150' Rappelling Camp on 19-20 October
Conducted by Proboscis Training and Adventures, Hosted by Mask Group

Location: Situated to the North side of Malshej ghat - Sahyadri range - Maharashtra, India.

Camp duration: Two Nights & Two Days ( leave Mumbai or Pune on Friday night & will be back on Sunday night).

Age limit: Above 15 years
Note: People with Heart, blood pressure or diabetes are not allowed. Overweight people (above 85 kg) are not allowed.

Camp fees: INR2900/- per participant.

Camp Itinerary:

Day 1 :
2100hrs: Depart Mumbai/Pune
-Pickups enroute

Day 2 :
0300hrs: Reach Khubi village
- Halt overnight in school
0500hrs: Wakeup call to freshen up
0545hrs: Distribution of Rappelling Kits
0615hrs: Depart from Khubi village to upper campsite
0715hrs: Arrive at upper camp site
- Tea and Breakfast at upper campsite
- Instruction session
0830hrs: Rappelling starts for first patch of 350ft.
- Lunch after first patch
- Second patch of 300ft. post lunch
- Reach middle campsite after second patch
- Dinner and overnight halt at middle campsite (open air camp)

Day 3 :
0500hrs: Wakeup call to freshen up
0600ghrs: Breakfast
0700hrs: Rappelling starts for third patch of 200ft.
- Fourth patch rappelling of 250ft.
- Fifth patch rappelling of 50ft.
- Depart for lower campsite at Thidbi village
- Return of rappelling kits
1400hrs: Lunch at Thidabi village
1600hrs: Depart for Mumbai/Pune
2030hrs: Tentative arrival at Mumbai/Pune

Things to carry (all items compulsory): 
Lunch for Saturday
Torch with extra pair of cell
Water 2l. per person
Glass, bowl, plate, spoon (non disposable, preferable steel)
Shoes with good grip
Extra set of clothes
Sleeping bag or shawl,
Sleeping mat,
Personal Medication,
Windcheater,
Napkin/Towel
Rucksack for all the above items

Notes: 
1: Don't bring extra luggage for this camp. All the patches have to be rappelled with the rucksack. It may be difficult for you to rappel down with a heavy sack. Also avoid bringing one sack between two or three friends. Every participant has to carry his own sack. Bring minimum luggage.
2: Valuable articles are not permissible
3: Keep the camp site clean & force others to do so
4: Please note that this area is under the jurisdiction of Govt of Maharashtra, Forest Department and you are bind to it's rules and regulations 
5: Leaving your garbage (empty water bottles, wrappers, tissues) at camp site is not allowed. Bring extra polythene bags for your garbage and take it at your home for proper disposal. We are not going to provide you dust bin at camp site. 
6: Disposable materials like styrofoam or paper dish, glass or bowl are not allowed. Instead of these, bring what you are using at home
7: Smoking and Alcohol is not allowed
8: Everything should be properly wrapped in polythene bags. Camera & cell phone should be wrapped in separate polythene bags to avoid damage due to unexpected rain. 
9: Sack is compulsory
10: Everyone has to follow the instructions of Camp In-charge & instructors 
11: No shortcut in the trek
12: You are coming on your own risk
