The aim of this tour is to deliver to you the history of my city alongside tasting the food that's unique to Bengaluru.
We start the walk from Jayanagar, and while we take the leisurely 1 km walk to the Krishna Rao Park, I'll tell you stories from the city, taking you back in time to how the city evolved over hundreds of years. Krishna Rao Park, which defines nature in the middle of the choc-o-block urban city. The serene park lined with ancient trees is the perfect setting for a story telling of the anecdotes and folklore surrounding Bengaluru.

Further on we walk down to Gandhi Bazaar, one of the traditional flower markets in Bengaluru, which bustles with old school charm; especially during the upcoming spate of festivals. At every stop I will tell you stories about the upbringing of these markets and what they signify today!

The true agenda of the walk however is the 70-year-old Vidyarthi Bhavan! From their incredible plates of Dosas overflowing with chutney to the ambiance full of nostalgia, Vidyarthi Bhavan is a must see. If you're interested we will try some tasty dosas, and I'll describe to you what goes into making one!

Bricks of history keep on building during the walk, and off we go to the ancient Basavanagudi temple. After all, it is only apt that we conclude our walk at the place where all the stories began on earth!

We end the tour by getting back to where it started from. A sumptuous Arya-vaishya lunch at an authentic restaurant in the Jayanagar area. A fine balance of spicy, and sweet, the Arya-Vaishya Food is a perfect marriage of flavors from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, which is not easily offered by restaurants.

(The tour includes one dish and a cup of coffee).
