The Challenge:
It is very sad that the church has lost its objective of making disciples. Today we find church communities producing devotees instead of disciples, directly violating the mandate given to us. It is the 'era of the church'. Though the Lord's coming is imminent, the church is not ready to meet the Lord.
Seminar Content
During this Seminar, we will explore the following:
Reflections On The Cross: Our rebellion against God in Genesis 3 makes us prone to control and manipulate one another; the cross is God’s radical way of dealing with this by taking the paradoxical course of deliberately losing control over His creation and allowing His creatures to crucify His Son! We shall look at the implications for us as cross-bearing disciples of Christ.
What Is The Church All About? “The Church is the only society that exists for the benefit of its non-members” – so said William Temple, Archbishop of Canterbury. As spiritual descendants and heirs of Abraham, we are supposed to be a blessing to all of creation. We need to challenge our present complacency of selfishly demanding blessings for ourselves instead of asking what God wants us to be in our society of injustice and exploitation.
God In The Marketplace: There is a tendency to think that true spiritualty has nothing to do with what we do from Monday to Friday/Saturday. In this session, we will examine the first commandment that God gave to Adam and Eve in Genesis 1:28 and how work in the marketplace is part of obeying that commandment.
This Seminar will be highly interactive, providing you with a unique opportunity to read, study, understand and apply the biblical narrative to your life, helping you to be a better witness in the marketplace. We will help you to be a committed disciple and lead others to be disciples of Jesus Christ.

Seminar Leader - Mr. L T Jeyachandran
L.T. Jeyachandran hails from Tamil Nadu in South India. He has a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Structural Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Madras (Chennai). L.T. worked in several parts of India for 28 years as a Senior Civil Engineer with the Central Government. The last position he held was that of Chief Engineer in charge of 12 (now 13) states of India in the Eastern Zone while based in the city of Calcutta (Kolkata).
L.T. is a keen student of theology and comparative religions, and is also interested in the study of Indian and foreign languages. He knows Hebrew and Greek and is therefore able to handle the Scriptures effectively. He took early retirement from the Government in November 1993 to join Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) in India and Singapore; RZIM is an international Christian organisation that is devoted to Christian apologetics.
L.T. and his wife, Esther, have now moved back to India and make their home in Pune, Maharashtra. They have two children and four grandchildren.
