Pledge To Cycle Delhi

#PledgeToCycleDelhi is a Cyclothon event initiated by Centre For Olympiads and Inclusion, A Non-profit organization working towards the development of sports, education and for the betterment of life of sports persons in India.

We the people of Delhi NCR inhaling the worst quality air as a resident. We feel we the people of Delhi NCR can contribute in a very little way as we can, i:e by cycling few kilometres every day. Be it going to your local market, office or school nearby. Looking at the growing concern of pollution in the National capital, it’s high time we be only an onlooker. Time has come each one of us to become a change maker by participating in this event to ignite a change in the society.

.The event will be hosted at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium scheduled for 8 th March 2019. (International Women’s Day) to mark contribution of women to the society. #PledgeToCycleDelhi will create awareness amongst the residents of Delhi NCR to cycle every day to minimize the dangerous Air Quality in Delhi.

Prize Structure

Amateur Road Women 40Km

• The amateur race will be a competitive timed mass-start race for women only
• All participants must be above 18 years of age
• Time Chip and Tshirt Free

Only road  bike will be allowed to participate in this category

• 1st Place – ₹ 25,000
• 2nd Place- ₹ 15,000
• 3rd Place- ₹ 10,000

Race timings & route are subject to change basis confirmation and approval from the concerned authorities

Amateur MTB/Hybrid Women

• The amateur race will be a competitive timed mass-start race, for women only
• All participants must be above 18 years of age.
•  Only MTB/Hybrid bike will be allowed to participate in this category
• Category Details -Women Only
• Distance: 40KM
• Time and Route – Will be informed/Published in Website before 7 days of RACE
• Time Chip and Tshirt Free

Prize Structure

• 1st Place – ₹ 25,000
• 2nd Place- ₹ 15,000
• 3rd Place- ₹ 10,000

Open Ride

• This timed non-competitive race will feature more than 2000 cyclists from all walks of life, coming together to pedal for a better and cleaner future.
• The finishers of this timed category will be rewarded with a timing certificate & finisher’s medal
• Eligibility: 18 years & above
• Time and Route – Will be informed/Published in Website before 7 days of RACE
• Category Details For Men & Women:
• Distance: 10KM
• Participants will receive their TimeChip and Tshirt
• Race timings & route are subject to change basis confirmation and approval from the concerned authorities

Pledge To Cycle Ride

• More than 3000 participants across all walks of life will come together & pedal for a greener and pollution free tomorrow in this, non-competitive category.
• The Pledge To Cycle Delhi will be a fun ride that will aim to instill socio-environmental consciousness among the people of DELHI NCR and will leave a National impact.
• Eligibility: 12 years & above.
