About The Event

 IYE

Description: Director Debesh Chattopadyay weaves his narrative around the myriad trials and tribulations of the protagonists as they attempt to come to terms with new definitions of reality and identity in an era of neo-globalization. In a global village where growing cosmopolitan vibes are making people imbibe a variety of values and cultural ideologies, the film explores the resultant loss of the old and reconstruction of new, unique identities amidst the flux.

The film indulges in an intricate exploration of ideas and ideals which are being questioned every day and the various approaches adapted by individuals to forge their own answers from the chaos. The cinematography puts the audience in an illusive position of power which makes them realize the complexities they create for people by forcing nuances of ideology and established practices on them.
