You may be aware that HYSEA and CII jointly organized a session on GST implementation for IT Industry in May earlier this year. But post implementation of GSTN on 1st July, the IT Industry feels there are several implementation issues and ambiguities with respect to filing returns, reverse charge mechanism rules, input credit rules, foreign travel reimbursements etc.… Further, In every GST council meetings there are many amendments happening to the law. Hence it’s important for IT/ITES businesses to understand the transition provisions and compliance requirements.
The government, on its part, has been proactive in ensuring that the rollout of GST is smooth and as an Industry Association we would like to play our part in helping members deal with the initial teething problems. We are happy to share with we are organizing a follow-up interactive session to be facilitated by EY to address issues related to GSTN - Transition and IT Sector Specific Issues on Thursday, 12th October 2017 at VEGA Hall, Ascendas IT Park from 3.00pm to 5.00pm. The session will be facilitated by Mr. Abhinav Srivastava, EY Director to address the participants.
