About The Event

Mahavir International Udaan “Foot Forward” 10K Run

Mahavir International Udaan (NGO) is coming up with a fund-raising event a 3k/5k/10k run"FOOT FORWARD" on 12th April 2020 at People’s Plaza, Necklace road from 4.00 AM – 9.00 AM. The proceeds of the events will be channelized towards “NETRAVAAS”, a project to provide accommodation for the blind children of NETRA VIDYALAYA.

Race Procedures

  • All the 10k participants are expected to reach the venue by 4:30 AM.
  • All the 5k participants are expected to reach the venue by 5:00 AM.
  • All the 3k participants are expected to reach the venue by 5:30 AM.

  • 3k Run will be a Fun Run and will have a Fancy-Dress Competition.

Rules of Race

  1. All participants must follow the instructions of event officials and must retire at once from the race if ordered to do so by event officials, medical staff, or any governmental authority, including firefighters and police officers.
  2. Participants must follow and stay on the course.
  3. Unofficial entrants are not permitted on the course.
  4. Participants are not allowed to - going backwards, any animals, bicycles, baby strollers, baby joggers, roller skates, scooters or skateboards.
  5. For participants’ safety, no strollers (including running strollers), or animals are permitted.
  6. Water stations can get a bit chaotic & crowded. Use caution when running into a water stop and make sure you are not cutting off other runner or spilling water on them. If you are going to stop or slow down to walk through the water stop, make sure there is not a runner behind you.
  7. Mahavir International UDAAN “Foot Forward” team has the right to change the details of the event, including delaying, canceling, or suspending the race due to inclement weather or other potential safety risks.
  8. Sportsmanship: Any participant who conducts themselves in an unsportsmanlike manner or who is offensive in action or language to event officials, other participants, volunteers, or spectators may be disqualified.

 

 

PARTICIPANT ENTRY & RACE NUMBER

  1. Event Application: All participants must provide accurate information, including age, gender, T-shirt Size and emergency contact information when filling out the event application.
  2. Race Number: Your official participant race number (bib) must always be fully visible and worn on the front of your torso. The timing Chip (B-Tag) is attached to the back of your race number(for 5k and 10K); in order to ensure an accurate time, please do not fold or wrinkle the race number or cover it with a jacket, runner belt, water bottle, or any other item.
  3. Participants who run the race without their number properly attached and displayed risk not having their finish time and split times recorded, not being listed in the results, for finishing the race.
  4. If your race number is lost on the course, please report it to an event official after the race. Only after verifying that your time was recorded at the start and that you completed the race finisher medal will be provided.
  5. Collections: T-shirts and Race number (bib) needs to be collected 1 day in advance to the actual event and the details for collecting them will be shared via SMS.
  6. No Transfer Permitted: Race numbers are non-transferable; you cannot give or sell your number or tag to another person or participate with an unofficial race number or tag. A participant who does not wear his or her assigned race number and tag, or who is found to have transferred, bought, or sold entry into “Foot Forward “ Run or otherwise permitted any other individual to wear his or her race number, will be disqualified from the event.
  7. No Refunds: Entry fees are non-refundable and may not be deferred or transferred.

 

 

 

THE START

 

Race Start: The race will be started by an announcement by MC otherwise noted. All participants must be behind the starting line at the start of the race and must follow the instructions of the race starter.

 

Official Times: Your official (net) finish time is recorded by the timing system from when you cross the starting line to when you cross the finish line. This time determines the order of finish and age-group. Start timing mats will be removed 10 minutes after the start of the race unless the size of the field warrants keeping the start open longer. After the start has closed, net times will not be recorded and times will be calculated from the time of the start horn. If a runner starts after the timing mats have been removed, no start time will be added.

 

THE COURSE

 

Course Marking: Participants must stay within course boundaries, as designated by barriers, traffic cones, delineation, and/or other markings, at all times; must recognize and understand event signage and symbols relating to the course, directions, and facilities; and must follow the instructions of course marshals. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

 

Course Monitoring: If you have not completed the entire course, do not cross the finish line or you will risk disqualification. Participants with missing or irregular split times at official timing checkpoints will be reviewed and may be disqualified. If you must leave the course, rejoin it only at the point at which you exited. No participant, after leaving the course, will be allowed to re-join the race either for the purpose of gaining a place or to pace or assist another competitor.

 

Assistance: Unofficial pacers or other unregistered participants are not permitted. (This does not apply to officially designated pacers.) A participant who receives assistance during an event from anyone other than official medical personnel may be disqualified.

Bandits: No individual who is not officially registered may join the event or accompany any participant in the event. Any person without an official race will be directed to leave the course immediately.

 

THE FINISH

 

Time Limit: In the interest of safety, and to allow streets drives to reopen as scheduled, racecourses will remain open to all participants for the specified time. Those participants who are not able to finish the race must be aware that fluid stations and other course amenities may not be available, and participants in races staged on streets may be asked to move to the sidewalks. Late participants will be able to cross the finish line, but they are not guaranteed to be timed and recorded as official finishers.

  2. Please choose the event category carefully, confirmed registrations are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be modified.
  3. We will be sending regular updates to the Mobile number you have provided in the registration form this should be not treated as spam and you shall not take any action against our bulk sms service provider.
  4. You agree to abide by the instructions provided by the organizers from time to time in the best interest of your health and event safety.
  5. You confirm that, in the event of adverse weather conditions, major incidents or threats on the day, any of the force majeure or restriction by authority, the organizers reserve the right to stop/cancel/postpone the event. You understand that confirmed registrations and merchandise orders are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be modified.
  6. Participants must personally appear for collecting the running Bibs. Bibs can be distributed in-absentee with written consent of the registered runners.
  7. If this registration is being made on behalf of a minor, I confirm that I am the parent / guardian of the child and that he/She has my permission to take part in the event. I further concur that all the above rules shall apply to him/her as if he were a major.
  8. Runners will not be allowed to stay on the course beyond the cut-off time, which is announced at the start of the run.
  9. Participants must wear good quality, suitable and well fitting running shoes while taking part in Run.
  10. We request total co-operation from runners in this regards.
