About The Event

“Automation” ever wonders how things work? What is behind the big stuff? This would be a chance to know the basic, a basic from where all that started, it is the time for new generation to take lead in each and every new form of technology. So Automation is all about a studio which could push start your thinking which you always wanted to do, that minds you, Explore how stuff works with little coding and fun before. Here you can learn the open source physical computing platform, programming, prototyping, controlling electronics stuff, electronic tinkering, hacking and designing from scratch.

Palla Raghunath

Researcher in Embedded Systems

Electronics and Communication Engineer by profession, P. Raghunath has been working in automation industry for more than 5 years. He loves tinkering with ARM based microcontrollers and interfaces them with other development platforms. Till date, he taught more than 1000 students all over the India about this fascinating world of embedded systems. Recently, he was invited as a speaker in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University to share his insights on Robotics and Automation.

Day 1:

First steps into Electronics!

  • Understand the significance of Voltage, Current and Electricity.
  • Tinker with basic electronics
  • Hands on sessions on breadboards and transistors

Touch Switch

  • Transistors can be used to make magical things
  • Let‘s have some fun with transistors
  • How about making a touch switch with transistors

Day 2:

Handshake with Arduino!

  • Let’s gotta look at Arduino and its family
  • Pre-flight check before communicating Arduino with a Laptop
  • The super easy programming language on Arduino IDE

Controlling Your Environment

  • Communicating UNO with Actuators.
  • Controlling motor speed with PWM and driving dc motors
  • Making sound circuits, and end up in making your very own piano

Day 3:

LED Cube

  • It’s always a pleasure and fun to see LED cube animations
  • What can be cooler than to make a LED cube on your own
  • You now have your own LED cube displaying your very own coded animations

  • 1 × Arduino UNO (
  • 1 × Makers shield (
  • 1 × LED cube shield (
  • 1 × Breadboard (
  • 10 × Jumper wires (
  • 10 × RGB LEDs (
  • 20 × Resistors (
  • 5 × BC 548 Transistors (
