Bob the Builder (Hackathon)

Bob the Builder is a 24 hour Hackathon which is a platform for individuals to try out new ideas and collaborate with other people in a fun environment to create solutions for real-time problems. Participants (students) from colleges across Chennai will be assigned a mentor to work on some great (and not so great) ideas. This event is organized by CIYF 3.0 in association with Lema Labs (Incubated @ IIT Madras Research Park).

What is Hackathon?

 A Hackathon is focused on the process of making things together. It is more about the progress than it is about the end result. 

The main driving factors:

• Having fun creating stuff: Creating something new is an exhilarating experience.
• Learning while you go: The best way to learn is to build something.
• Increase your network reach: Professional and Non-Professional friendships are easily formed in the right environment.
• Aaaaand Most of All: Lip-smacking food!! XD.

Domains:

• Robotics.
• IoT.
• Embedded Systems.
• Drones and Aviation.
• AI(with hardware).

Important Hints:

• First-day dinner and second-day breakfast will be provided.
• Come with your own hardware components.
• Complete the prototype within 24 hrs.
• Mentors will be available on the event dates.
• Winners will be awarded in a grand ceremony on September 15.
• A team can have a maximum of five participants, each participant has to buy a ticket cost Rs 600 (if a team of five Rs 600 x 5 = Rs 3000).
