Circle of Men

 Coming up at Vision Rainbow 27th Oct from 4 to 6 p.m. is the "Circle of Men". All men are cordially invited! 

The "Circle of Men" is an open, safe place for men to bring whatever they wish to, which may include family, sex, money, depression, loneliness, relationships and how they feel in regards to masculinity. The circles are held once a month and facilitated by different people every month based on theme and choice. 

The circle is a free and safe space where the need to share can be addressed. Attendees can relate the speaker’s experiences to their own, and so feel less alone in their experience. ‘The space and time for insight’ is allowed, with an emphasis upon relating from experience with a minimum of judgement. Silence between stories is encouraged in order to respect the issues raised. ‘We are there to support each other, as a ‘mini community, for the space of two hours. Confidentiality is key to the space. ‘Learning to speak and listen’ is central to the circle, in order to recognise patterns of behaviour and cultivate respect.

The sharing space for this month will be facilitated by Ananth Vikram.

• Ananth is a Storyteller, exploring the Human psyche, oneness and self-discovery. 

• currently researching Theatre in Education (TiE) in collaboration with Vision Rainbow. 

• an artist who's engaged with fields like theatre, film-making, martial arts and stage craft

• has a fondness for traveling the world around and within!
