A free Lactation Education Program followed by interactive question answer session for expecting mothers to guide them about Breastfeeding challanges and problems faced by breastfeeding mothers. The goal of this program is to enable new mothers to sucessfully breastfeed their babies.
Pregnant women should attend this during the second or third trimester of pregnancy.
Breastfeeding can become a challenging issue for new mothers with problems like engorgement, sore nipples, mastitis, low milk supply, breast abcess and many others. These mothers often fail to get timely guidance due to which they unwillingly have to give up breastfeeding.
A lactation consultant would be the right person to help these mothers as she would asses both the baby and the mother, as well as observe the nursing sessions and accordingly make a specific plan of action for that particular case.
