About :- The great martyr wrote a note book in Lahore Central Jail while he was being tried for Lahore Conspiracy and Saunders’s murder. This note book remained hidden from public view for more than half a century. Now Harish Jain with Malwinder Jit Singh Waraich has produced a commendable volume of this notebook which contains the notes taken by Bhagat Singh from various books he was reading in the jail. He could get these books with great difficulty as the British Government was not allowing such books in the jail. The note book reveals that the revolutionary martyr not only wielded pistol and bomb but was a great scholar and intellectual of great merit. Harish Jain has painstakingly edited the note book and has traced the original sources of all the notes the martyr jotted down in the jail.
