Tower, Eiffel, India Gate, Gateway of India, almost every city is identified with an iconic monument. Pune also has its icon. It was the centre of national polity for over seventy five years. During this period, whatever happened here had repercussions across the subcontinent and beyond. Everyone, who mattered, in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkatta, Kabul, Lisbon, Paris, London was keen to know what happened within the tall walls of Shaniwarwada.
This is our humble effort in creating an enhanced awareness about our heritage monuments amongst the citizens of Pune, I believe that the subject would be of interest to your group of expats.
Besides, a hard cover Coffee Table Book, with the same title, “a dream called Shaniwarwada” is also planned to be released. In about sixty pages, it attempts to put together in brief, the story of Shaniwarwada with the help of text and visuals. I am attaching alongwith a pdf preview of the book.
Sanjay Shankar is a recently born artist, made a debut at the Jehangir Art Gallery in Nov-2015. From Bliss, the exhibition will travel to NCPA, Mumbai in Apr-2016.
