About The Event

This workshop on "Cancer Drug Discovery & Development" is being organized by Science Gurus (www.sciencegurus.org), a US-based non-profit organization and School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UOH), India. The objective of this program is to educate next generation scientists about rational drug design, discovery & development. This workshop is an educational forum that endeavors to provide comprehensive review of the drug discovery process against a backdrop of the technology and research revolution, and includes a horizontal overview of the disciplines involved in the drug discovery process and a vertical delve into the critical elements of each discipline. The main focus of the curriculum is to provide an opportunity for students to learn broad aspects of Drug Discovery & Development process with a special emphasis on Cancer Biology. In addition, the curriculum also includes translational aspects of Drug Discovery (from lab to the clinic), personalized medicine, and critical analysis of scientific data, clinical trials and regulatory approval process. In addition, the opportunities for students to make presentations, discuss case studies are also provided. To give this holistic aspect of Drug Discovery & Development, Science Gurus has assembled a team of domain experts with relevant hands on experience.
