About The Event

Function point analysis (FPA) is a structured technique for software size estimation, which is the input for estimating effort, schedule and cost of software. FPA is widely used and is a proven technique for reliable estimation of the size of the software project.

This technique involves viewing the functionality of software from the users’ perspective and then estimating the size based on the required functionality.

The workshop demonstrates the concepts of FPA and participants learn the steps involved in estimating size of a sample project (development). The workshop also guides the participants on how effort and schedule of the software project (sample) are arrived at.
