Archery is the art, sport, practice, or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. The word comes from the Latin arcus. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat. In modern times, it is mainly a competitive sport and recreational activity. A person who participates in archery is typically called an archer or a bowman, and a person who is fond of or an expert at archery is sometimes called a toxophilite.

Rules and Regulation

• Archer kindly report before 7.30am at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Perimet, Chennai, on 13th September 2019
• Dress code should be as per AAI
• Qualification event for under 17 and under 21 Indian archers, 2minutes will be given for 3 arrows in 30meter & 20meter and 50meter & 30meter respectively.
• Under 17 recurve archers will be given 72 arrows (36 X 2) at 60meters (4minutes for 6 arrows) and Under 21 recurve archers will be given 72 arrows (36 X 2) at 70 meters (4minutes for 6 arrows).
• Under 17 compound archers will be given 72 arrows (36 X 2) at 50meters (4minutes for 6 arrows) and Under 21 compound archers will be given 72 arrows (36 X 2) at 50 meters (4minutes for 6 arrows).
• In the case of an equipment failure or unexpected medical problem, an archer shall only be allowed to make up the number of arrows that can be shot within 15 minutes while following the standard order of shooting.
• Judges Decision will be final and no further appeal can arise.
• Disqualification will be made against archer while violating the World Archery Rules.
• Entry Fees Rs.1000/- per archer (Inclusive of Lunch)
• Prize Distribution will be on 15th September 2019.
• Multiple Entries are not allowed.
• Last Date for Registration is on 10th September 2019.
