About The Event

Embedded systems contain processing cores that are typically either microcontrollers or microprocessors. The key characteristic, however, is being dedicated to handle a particular task. Since the embedded system is dedicated to specific tasks, design engineers can optimize it to reduce the size and cost of the product and increase the reliability and performance. Some embedded systems are mass-produced, benefiting from economies of scale.

Tech Innovates comes up with 100% project based workshop on Embedded System Design. This workshop aims to make students well-equipped with all the modern tools of Embedded System Design. The Participants get to know the various nuances of the theory as well as experience a hands-on process of building a Embedded System, thus enabling them to link theory and practice. During this workshop you will learn to design embedded systems using 8051/PIC micro-controllers. You will make following six different kind of projects by yourself during the workshop:

  1. Interfacing input devices e.g. keypads, sensors with the micro-controller.
  2. Interfacing output devices e.g. seven segment display, LCD with micro-controller.
  3. Creating text animation on LCD screen using micro-controller.
  4. Electronic code lock with user defined password and monitoring system using micro-controller.
  5. Electronic voting machine using micro-controller.
  6. Making autonomous robot using micro-controller.

  1. Introduction to basic circuit designing components.
  2. Circuit designing techniques for analog and digital circuits.
  3. Introduction to Multisim- Circuit Simulation Software.
  4. Designing electronics/electrical circuit using MULTISIM
  5. Introduction to Architecture and Programming of 8051 Micro-Controller.
  6. Hardware interfacing with 8051 Micro-Controller.
  7. Designing Embedded Systems with 8051 Micro-controller at the core.
  8. Introduction to Architecture and Programming of PIC Micro-Controller.
  9. Hardware interfacing with PIC Micro-Controller.
  10. Designing Embedded Systems with PIC Micro-controller at the core.

Projects you will be making during this workshop:

A competition will be organized at the end of the workshop. Winners of this competition will get "Certificate of Excellence".
