Tikona also known as Vitandgad is the dominant hill fort in Maval in western India. It is located near Kamshet around 60 km from Pune. The village nearest to the fort is called Tikona-Peth. The 3500 ft high hill is pyramidal in shape and the name Tikona means "triangle". The fort is a trekking destination noted for the large doors, the temple of 'Trimbakeshwar Mahadev', water tanks and some Satvahan caves. The views of Pawna dam and the nearby forts of Tung, Lohagad and Visapur can be seen from the Top


We will meet at sharp 6.30AM on Sunday, 3rd July at Sai Service Petrol Pump, JM Road, Deccan Gymkhana, Pune all ready with our trekking gears & start the Journey by Private Bus.

06.30 – 07.00 Reporting at Sai Service Petrol Pump, JM Road
07.00 – 08.00 Travel from Pune to Pirangut by Private Bus
08.00 – 08.30 Tea & Breakfast at Pirangut
08.30 – 09.45 Travel to base village of Fort Tikona, Tikona Peth
09.45 – 10.15 Briefing, Gear Up & Safety Instructions 
10.15 – 12.15 Trek to the Top of the Fort
12.15 – 12.30 Rest
12.30 – 13.30 Explore the Fort Tikona
13.30 – 14.30 Lunch
14.30 – 16.00 Descend the Fort
16.00 – 16.30 Tea & Biscuits
16.30 – 18.30 Travel back to Pune
