About Velas Turtle Festival :
Velas a coastal village which falls in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. The place is well known for its beaches which reflect nature in its best preserved and pristine form. However, of lately, Velas has been attracting nature lovers and travellers more for its Velas turtle festival, Maharashtra than anything else, Hundreds of Olive Ridley Turtles, one of the most treasured species of marine turtles, come ashore at Velas beach for breeding and lay hundreds of eggs. Velas welcomes thousands of travellers visit the velas beach in order to witness baby turtles, called as Velas Turtle Fest

Day 0 : 24th Feb. 2017
11:00 pm - Departure from Pune (Pickup routes to be shared amongst participants)

Day 1 : 25th Feb. 2017
05:30 am : Reporting Velas
06:30 am : Velas beach Tour, near nesting area
09:00 am : Tea & Breakfast at Velas
10:00 am : Visit to Bankot fort
12:30 pm : Lunch at Velas
02:00 pm : Departure for Pune
08:30 pm : Reach Pune (subjective to Traffic)

Event Fees : Rs 1299/-
