About The Event

WEConnect International

WEConnect International is a non-profit organization that helps to empower women-owned businesses to succeed in global markets. WEConnect International identifies, trains and certifies business enterprises that are at least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by one or more women, then connects them with multinational corporate buyers and other market opportunities within the country and globally.  

 

Think Big: Women in Business Forum is a unique platform for women business owners. Think Big 2014 brought delegates from 5 countries and 10 cities across India for inspiring experience sessions, business skill training workshops, business meetings, and peer learning.

The third annual Think Big: Women in Business Forum will be held on 9 October 2015 at Hyatt Regency Delhi, where 400 participants, including women entrepreneurs, corporate buyers, industry mentors, investors, and media are expected to come together.

  1. Ideas to Start-up: An opportunity for you to learn how to make your idea into a business reality. If you are looking to start-up, this workshop gives you an opportunity to validate your idea and be mentored by those who have successfully executed theirs.

Workshop Details

Buyer-Seller Meet: A platform for Women entrepreneurs to explore business opportunities with Corporate Buyers. Women entrepreneurs can make a quick pitch about their business and learn more about the Corporate Buyers' requirements. Corporate Buyers from Accenture, IBM, Walmart, Intel, RBS and many more will be participating.

 

Ideas to Market: Three startups will be presenting their business laying emphasis on how they thought of the idea, challenges around mobilizing resources and finally taking their idea to market. Targeted mainly at Wannapreneurs and budding entrepreneurs, this session will help them relate to and learn from the challenges that the startups will talk about. Audience will be seated in cluster format (5 – 6 participants at a round table) with a Mentor at each table who will facilitate discussions within the group and share his/her own insights/advice.

 

Doing Business with Corporations: This workshop will give pointers on how small businesses can prepare to become suppliers to major corporations. Key concrete takeaways include learning about procurement policies, procurement categories and supplier evaluation criteria of corporations, and knowing how to scale up and build capacity to do global business.
