About The Event

ABOUT TEDX, X = INDEPENDENTLY ORGANIZED EVENT

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

THEME

Rediscovering India…
India has been a country that is known worldwide for its vast cultural heritage, its unity and the talent it houses. Many times in the past Indians have always stood up to the occasion and have delivered the best.

But lately, due to the effect of westernization, the youth has definitely failed to understand the rich heritage of India and has shown more love towards other countries. We see a lot of youngsters today going to other countries and serving them despite of opportunities to serve India. Its time that we put an end to it. TEDxNMAMIT with the theme “Rediscovering India” aims to highlight on the talent that India has, aims to reflect upon the rich cultural heritage of the country and also demonstrate the innovations from Indian youngsters hence re-installing in youth, the “FEEL GOOD” attitude and hence attempt to reinstall the love and pride for our country.
