Smita Mohan Kadam

Smita has been practicing and performing Belly Dance since the past 7 years.
A Chartered Accountant by qualification, dance has been her passion since childhood. She has trained in diverse dance styles like Jazz with Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts, different forms of ballroom dance  with Sandip Soparrkar. She has been a practitioner of Iyengar Yoga since 6 years. She is a performer for a very popular Maharashtrian folk dance, which is called Lavani. She is currently getting trained in the Indian classical dance Kathak under Padmashree Sunayana Hazarilalji of the Benaras Gharana. But it is in belly dance that she discovered her true calling.
Belly dancing for Smita is all about self-expression. She is a perfect blend of emotions in her dance and loves the freedom that belly dance gives her to explore and express different emotions allowing her to interpret the music and create her own style in each performance.
She has learnt from International Instructors like Mahmoud Reda, Jillina, Aziza, Belly dance Superstars Sonia, Moria Chapell and Amar Gamal to name a few . She has participated in the Theatrical Belly Dance workshop in New York in July 2010, Nile Group Festival 2011 & 2012 at Cairo, Egypt, Tarazade Festival 2013 in Istanbul, Jashn- e – Banjara 2013 in Delhi.
