We are happy to announce the January 2017 edition of Startup Saturday Kolkata themed: “Validating Your Startup Idea”.
Everyone has an idea, but are ideas really worth anything? They are and they are not.The difference is when they are validated. So how do you go about validating it?Many frameworks and models have been proposed that claim to help you in validating your idea, but which one do you choose? When can you claim to have a validated idea? When you get your first customer? When you get 10,100, or 1000 signups on your landing page about the product yet to be released? When everyone you know says it’s a great idea and you should quit your job to work on it full time? Your idea already exists, does that mean you should startup right away? But before you jump the gun and spend your time and money building the product, know what a successful idea validation looks like, which widely differs based on the sectors, target users, and even the region where you are launching it.
At the end of it, you should be able to know the response you might get once you launch, pique prospective users attention, make course corrections, or even pivot to a new model.
