The Mentors From CameraUnLimited

RAVI DHINGRA:

Ravi was born in 1967 in Udhampur, Jammu & Kashmir. Though he never had a camera of his own till the time he started working, he was always interested in photography.

After completing his Graduation in Commerce from Delhi University and acquiring professional degree in cost accountancy, he started his career in the corporate financial world and later set up his own Finance Consultancy Company. He pursued photography as a hobby till he joined Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi in 1998 to learn the finer nuances of the craft.

A chance assignment with a publication led to switching over from the hobby into a full fledged job. Since then he has been involved in Lifestyle photography which includes Interiors, Food, People and Product. He has been associated with leading publications, advertisement agencies and corporate clients and his work has been widely published in various books, magazines, brochures and on Web.

Currently based in New Delhi, Ravi is also a visiting faculty for photography at National Institute of Fashion Technology since the year 2003.

ROHIT KUMAR

Born on 11th Dec 1973, New Delhi, Rohit Kumar did his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi. An avid travel enthusiast, he had travelled at every given opportunity during his schooling as well as graduation days. The momentum only increased during his post graduation years at NIFT, New Delhi. His travelling developed a keen sense in him to capture the culture as well as the essence of the place and people. So was born a hobby, which would eventually turn into a full time profession, after he had done more than a decade of work in the apparel industry. His last job in the apparel industry was with Reliance Industries, Ahemdabad. He later shifted to New Delhi, to learn professional photography by working under established professional photographer, Ravi Dhingra. Freelancing for the last one and half years in New Delhi, his style is not restricted to any particular genre per se and his portfolio has an eclectic mixture of work on products, jewellery, food and portraits.
