“Landscapes in Impressionism”
Noreen A. I. paints with an intuitive response to the quiet mystical qualities of Nature. Using impressionist style, she creates landscapes in acrylic on canvas, capturing the play of light with different hues, tones and colors in Nature which are otherwise invisible to the untutored eye.
Her solo art exhibition “Landscapes in Impressionism” starting on the 23rd Oct to 29th Oct., 2015 (timings 10:00 AM-7:30 PM), at Monalisa Kalagram in Koregaon Park, is a tribute to the father of the Impressionist style, the French artist Claude Monet (1840-1926). Reprising some of his beloved paintings, Noreen has recreated the magic of Monet’s obsessive effort to capture the atmosphere between him and his subjects. In the same style, Noreen’s own compositions reflect the mysteries of natural landscapes in their full glory of myriad hues.
The artist’s earliest memories include her love for drawing and colouring, at the age of eight she received her first prize in art. Going on to completing her bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and Master of Science in Mass Communication from USA, she has continued her passion for Art. Her upcoming show “Landscape in Impressionism” bears witness to the years spent in understanding colours, form and composition in painting.
