Introduction

Presentations skills and public speaking skills are very useful in many aspects of work and life. Effective presentations and public speaking skills are important in business and entertaining an audience. Developing the confidence and capability to give good presentations, and to stand up in front of an audience and speak well, are also extremely helpful competencies for self-development too. Presentations and public speaking skills are not limited to certain special people - anyone can give a good presentation, or perform public speaking to a professional and impressive standard. Like most things, it simply takes a little preparation and practice.

 Objective:

  • To understand one’s strengths as a presenter
  • To be aware of one’s body language and posture
  • To enhance one’s voice modulation and articulation
  • To present for the audience
  • Understand the flow of a presentation
  • To be aware of various style of presentation
  • To overcome the fears while presenting

Contents:

Module1: Free yourself

A Session to loosen the body and the mind which will enable participants to bring more focus to themselves.

Module2: Your voice & Breath

This sessions aims at understanding the voice and its nuances. The participants will undergo voice exercises and will also be taken through importance of voice modulation and articulation. 

Module 3: My body, My confidence

The need to adopt an appropriate body language and its impact on the confidence of the presenter will be discussed during this session. Facial gestures, eye contact and maintaining a relaxed posture will form part of this session.

Module 4:  From Beginning to the end

 The flow of content ,the placement of ideas & visualization are the highlights of this session, participants will be encouraged to identify their strengths as a presenter and develop their own style.

Module 5: Where am I ?

Understanding the audience, handling their questions, facilitating discussions and interacting with the audiences will be the aim of this session. 

Module 6 : Mock Presentations

The participants will make mock presentations and receive feedback from the audience. This will be done in the “pause-rewind” methodology wherein participant will get an opportunity to improvise on the spot.

Methodology

A combination of visual and movement creative activities and storytelling.  

Take Away:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understanding of one’s areas of improvements
  • “Visualisation” technique
  • Accept their fears and “let go”

 

Facilitator Profile:

Ms.Hemalatha Swaminathan with an experience of more than 9 years in Corporate Training and passionate about the profession, Hemalatha Swaminathan believes that training should enhance the potential of an individual. Over the years she has honed her skills as a Communication Trainer. There is often a gap between what is communicated and what is understood. As an Image Consultant, she works closely with clients to bridge this gap in communication. She personally coaches the client in areas of verbal and non-verbal communication, individually or through workshops. Some of  Her clients are  Ashok Leyland ,  Agility Logistics, Barry Weh Miller,  BNP Paribas, Cognizant Technologies Ltd, Computer Age Management Services, Covansys India Ltd.(Chennai & Bangalore), Fidelity Investments, Financial Software & Systems and Godrej Hi Care.  She did her  Diploma  in Training and Development from Indian Society for Training and Development, Masters Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning, Puneand Post Graduate Diploma In Human Resource Management from Loyola Institute of Vocational Education, Loyola College, Chennai. Also she is Certified Accent Trainer.

Registration:
