About The Event

The objective of this workshop is

• To provide ground knowledge on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) - as applied in the management and behavioral research.
• To facilitate understanding and analyzing of large data with the help of data mining tools.
• To impart knowledge on neural networks for prediction.

Who Can Attend?
This program is relevant to participants (faculty members, research scholars and doctoral/post- doctoral students) from a variety of fields such as management sciences as well as social sciences. The workshop would be of considerable relevance to participants from the disciplines of marketing, human resources, marketing analytics, HR analytics, business, education, information systems, communications, psychology and sociology.


SEM combines elements of regression analysis and factor analysis, and allows testing of complex causal relationships that are not possible through traditional multivariate approaches. SEM, which deals with primary data, helps to test the big model that consists of independent variable(s) and several dependent variables. Researchers in the field of HR, marketing, and social sciences wish to test the model would be a great beneficiary.


Today the most robust research analytical tool that everybody looks for is data mining and neural networks. Data mining is a tool that clusters, classifies, segments large secondary data. Data mining and Neural networks discover patterns in large data sets involving methods at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistics, and database systems. The overall goal of the data mining process is to extract information from a data set and transform it into an understandable structure for further use. Apart from HR and marketing researchers, Data mining and Neural networks help the researchers who works with secondary data in the field like Social media, digital marketing, information systems and marketing analytics.
