A platform for poets and budding and established artists to be hosted at the David Sassoon Library & Reading Room, Kala Ghoda.

 

 

 

Literary events, especially open-mics have proven that India has no dearth of talent. To take this to another level, this event will have well-known and established artists performing.

 

 

 

This will help boost the confidence of young, budding artists as well as be a great opportunity to find ways to collaborate with one another.

This is NOT an Open-Mic! A list of performers have been pre-decided. If time permits, people will be given time to perform their piece.

There is no language barrier.

 

 

 

This event is divided into two parts:

 

 

 

1st Part will be dedicated to performances by achievers and veterans (Amole Gupte, Mayank Shekhar and Menka Shivdasani) in the field.

 

 

 

2nd Part will be dedicated to performances by a range of poets, writers, comedians, bloggers, singers, etc. It will give them an opportunity to showcase their talent.

b) Menka Shivdasani, founder member of Poetry circle and co-author of two collections of poetry - Nirvana at Ten Rupees and Stet will be sharing some insights about poetry and also recite.

 

 

 

c) Mayank Shekhar - established film critic, journalist and author will give a talk about his journey as a film critic and recite some of his work.

About the organiser:

 

Karina Pandya is​ a poet, web content writer, digital consultant and visiting faculty at MBA colleges. She is also a co-organiser of entrepreneur events (that have taken place at Sydenham & Khalsa College).

 

She has studied at Sophia Polytechnic, Berkeley University and worked at a number of reputed firms including iProspect Communicate2, ​Spenta Multimedia and Zee TV.
