It is said that the living owe it to those who no longer can speak to tell their stories for them. In memory of our beloved man Nithin Karthik, the I HEART RUN is an effort to start off where he left.
He had only recently discovered his love for running and was training for his first marathon. While training on 26th June 2016, he collapsed due to sudden cardiac arrest and breathed his last on the way to the hospital.
A year later, we run to remember him. For those of us who have known him, we know that he truly lived each day with the belief that it is indeed a good day to be alive. For those who don’t, this could help realise how lucky we are to be alive with hopes and dreams still intact. We run not just to remember him but to make this an uplifting event that celebrates LIFE in a unique way. All proceeds from this event, collected through registrations and donations would go to the Narayana Hrudayalaya Heart Foundation towards the treatment of those in need.
Let us come togtether and run for the love of running, for the love of those gone before us and for those whom we could provide another life to.
